Alpine in the Community

At Alpine Sport Therapy Centre, we are committed to fostering the growth of Athletic Therapy and supporting athletes across various disciplines. Our involvement extends throughout Calgary’s sports and performance communities, providing both clinical and onfield expertise.

Mount Royal University – Advanced Certificate in Athletic Therapy

Alpine Sport Therapy Centre proudly partners with Mount Royal University to support the next generation of Athletic Therapists. As an official placement site for MRU’s Athletic Therapy students, we provide hands-on clinical and field experience, ensuring students develop the practical skills necessary for their future careers.

St. Mary’s University – Lightning Athletics

We are proud to provide on-field coverage for the St. Mary’s University Lightning varsity teams, including basketball, cross-country, and indoor track. In collaboration with MRU, we place Athletic Therapy students with STMU’s varsity teams, giving them valuable realworld xperience while ensuring athletes receive high-quality care.

Calgary Fire Elite Hockey Program

Since 2013, Alpine Sport Therapy Centre has been a trusted provider of both on-field coverage and clinical treatments for the Calgary Fire Elite Hockey Program, a division of Girls Hockey Calgary. Our team works closely with athletes to enhance performance, prevent injuries, and facilitate recovery

Canadian Pro Rodeo Sport Medicine Team

Alpine Sport Therapy Centre’s own Brooke Carpenter is a dedicated member of the Canadian Pro Rodeo Sport Medicine Team. She travels to rodeos and professional bullriding vents, delivering pre- and post-event care and providing in-arena support to professional athletes, ensuring they perform at their best.

Calgary Stampede Showband

We are honored to support the Calgary Stampede Showband with onsite clinical coverage. With 140 members aged 16 to 21, the Showband performs over 100 times during the ten days of the Calgary Stampede. Marching for hours on pavement in the summer heat while carrying heavy instruments is no small feat—these performers are true athletes! To keep them in top shape, Alpine Sport Therapy operates a remote clinic on the Stampede rounds, helping Showband members prevent and recover from repetitive stress injuries such as tendinitis, sprains, and joint pain. Our support extends beyond Stampede season, aiding performers throughout their year-round training, national competitions, and international tours. The show must go on, and we’re proud to play a role in keeping these dedicated performers strong, healthy, and ready to shine!
